Do you just hate when NFL teams keep their starters in for most of the game during the early preseason games?

Preseason games are for the most part, supposed to help teams decide which players they will keep (especially the first two games). Why do so many teams keep their starters in the game - risking the chance of them getting hurt? I understand that they want the last two preseason games to be more of a srimmage, so they keep their starters in a little longer. Is there really that much pressure to win a preseason game?

I don't like that they keep the starters in for most of the game. It does not give a chance to rookies to show what they have and if the other team is playing rookies, then they won't look as good, and will lose.

Almost all of them for the Brewers, Brewers are 27th in the League for ERA. For starters everyone except Yovani Gallardo. You just don't know if it's going to be a good day, or a usual day. Dave Bush has been doing well, but this is not normal, so I wait for the bad game, which is usual. Doug Davis is a nightmare. Chris Narveson is maybe, maybe not. Randy Wolf is "maybe I'll only give up 3 HR today" And insert fifth pitcher that changes all the time....., BQ: You know, they've all been pretty even keel. BQ: Joe Buck - once a guy with one of the best jobs in baseball says "I'd rather be watching the Bachelorette" he's over in my opinion. But to make matters even worse, he sucks anyway. Oops besides Joe Buck, I'm going Joe Morgan. Whenever he announces the Brewers he pities them, intertwined with how AWESOME he was back in the day. The comparisons are way too much for me.

No I dont...I'm watching the Cincinnati and Washington game right now and Clinton Portis just got jacked up tackling Keiwan Ratliff. Why should a team risk their starters for a game that doesn't matter? I think that these games are for teams to find out what they need to work on and who they need to cut from the team. I'm just so happy football is on...I just dont know what to do with myself!!!!!!

I do not know what pre-season games you are watching but the starters usually play 2 maybe 3 series.

That really pisses me off. I was watching the Broncos lions game (Bronco fan) and we had all our 3rd and 4th stringers out there and we were making a drive down the field and then the lions started putting their starters in. We lost and kinda pissed me off. I know the game doesn't matter but why do that. Have some class lions sheesh.

No there is no pressure to win just they want to get the offence back in sink and use what they have learned in training camp.

No. they are getting paid to play, even in the pre-season, and that is where they get their skills back in shape.
