Does whearing Dark makeup make u gothic?

Gothic is an attitude, not a clothing or makeup style.

Dark eyeliner by itself isn't going to make a difference between gothic and anything else. Your parents are being too picky. Just explain to them that you like the look it gives your eyes, and you're not going to start wearing black nail polish or black lipstick or anything.

Also make sure you wash it all off every night, and keep your makeup applicators clean so that you don't get an eye infection. Those are nasty.

I don't think that all girls who wear dark eyeliner are gothic, because I have a lot of friends who aren't gothic, and they do that. I don't want you to rebel against what your parents want you to do, so if they say to take off the eyeliner, you should probably do it in respect to them, even though it might make you look better. That's exactly what my parents told me when I used to do that, so I just decided that it would be better for their sake if I stopped wearing so much eyeliner. If your parents just don't like, but they're not going to make you stop, then you can go ahead and wear it. Although, if you're wearing the pink under your eyes, then yes that will make you look gothic. It's all a matter of opinion. I think if you had a picture maybe to show me how much you're wearing, then I could tell you if you look gothic or not. I hope this helps!

It all depends on how you wear your dark eyeliner. Gothic people put it very heavy on the top and bottom lid, so it looks like they are zombies. You can wear dark eyeliner nice and thin and it wont look gothic, apply it as close to the lashline as possible. PLus, use a nice lighter shade for an eyeshadow to lose the harsh look line of the eyeliner, this will make it less gothic.

If the rest of your face is very pale and you are using the dark eyeliner, then it could look gothic.

Suggestions:

1) Make sure that the foundation you are using matches your skin tone, and that your lips are not totally red.

2) If you are naturally pale, you could try to use a brown eyeliner instead of black.

3) Use the black eyeliner, but lay off the eyeshadow and heavy mascara.

i definitely had the same problem. i wore alot of black eyeliner and mascara and everyone said i was Gothic but the truth is most Gothic people don't even wear makeup. everyone called me Gothic for wearing black makeup but it was just what i liked and if people call you Gothic then just ignore it. I'm sure you are very far from Gothic. most people can't even define what Gothic really is. all i did was lighten up my makeup a little and people stopped calling me Gothic but do and wear what makes you happy. its your face and you should feel free to do whatever with yourself without being labeled something you know your not.

Sweetie heck no. Dark makeup brings out the color in peoples eyes. well it does to me neway. if ur gothic( no offense) you would listen to heavy metal, wear alot of black, and not socialize as much. And for sum reason dark eyeliner does look better on a girl if she does have blue or brown eyes and a dark complection. So no your not gothic. hope this helped.

No. I had a friend and her mom always said I was worshiping the devil just because my nails were always black. Although I am more on the Goth side. Just because a person may wear black eyeliner doesn't make them Goth. Sure Most Goths I know go for that look, but so do people with a darker complexion. Do you have dark skin, hair or eyes? Then I see nothing wrong with it.

Ive been wearing black eyeliner for 26 years, and Im far from being gothic, maybe your wearing it to thick. Try thinner lines around your eyes instead of bold ones.

Im an similar merely make confident you do not word too a lot that is the position the gothic look comes from. in case you employ black eyeliner then use slightly one red on your lips to lighten it up. Remeber little is suited!
