How do I uninstall my symantec anti-virus software to replace it with EZ anti-virus?

Just go to start->control apnel->add/remove programs-><norton products>. Also I recommend AVG of EZ anti-virus. http://www.free.grisoft.com/

First you need to uninstall Symantec (Norton) Anti-virus. You must be logged on to an Administrative Account not a Limited-User Account:

1) Go To START

2) If Classic Mode Click Settings>Control Panel If XP Style click Control Panel (If not available click My Computer>Control Panel)

3) Add/Remove Programs

4) Find Symantec/Norton Antivirus and Click CHANGE/REMOVE

5) Follow on screen instructions

6) Make sure and restart computer

7) Install the new antivirus following directions given in Read-Me File...RAY

hi, to uninstall symantec, you click start-->settings-->control panel--> install/remove software, choose symantec, you can uninstall the software, perhaps you should restart your PC after the uninstallation.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

You don't know how to uninstall? Go to Control panel > Add or remove programs - and remove it.

Then click EZ installer (usually setup.exe or something like that) and install. Don't forget to crack the program after installing :) And you have to perform webupdate of virus database.

If add/remove doesnt work just pop in the EZ antivirus cd and it will ask you to uninstall norton before installing ez.

go to start, then control panel, then " add or remove programs", then find symantec and remove it, then after that, install EZ.
