in response to HOW DOES THIS MAKE YOU FEEL?

I was quite shocked at the reaction of this "POEM" this is exactly how i felt the morning after my 19 year old son died, this is an example of a true spiritual journey beginning, i had no beliefs, can you imagine living that way all of your life? thank GODI don't have too....he answered all of my questions and allowed me to continue living. what do you think happens to people who find themselves in a situation like mine and don't have a base of faith?

I can't imagine losing someone and NOT having God to keep me afloat.

I just read your poem, thanks for sharing.

Just because a person does not have faith in a deity does not mean they don't have faith. Most people whether they believe in a God or not trusts that life will go on, and the pain of loss will ease in time. Atheists, however do not spend a lot of time raging at a distant deity trying to understand why. Death happens, it is a part of life, and death is a tragedy only to the living. I have lost loved ones and did not cry on the shoulder of a God, I accepted.

It's too bad when a trial, such as yours, has to take place before one believes in God. But God also knows the heart of man and knows when that person is ready to learn about Him. Now that he's invited you to know him (James 4:8) it's just up to you to learn more and gain more knowledge about this wonderful Creator of ours. Sorry for your loss...but the scriptures have a beautiful comfort found at Rev. 21:3, 4 that you will love. A resurrection of your son back to earth, in the near future.

After my son died God and I had words. Now we have an understanding. He shuts the hell up and so do his followers and I don't ask for help anymore.

im not sure but everyone in their life time will be introduced to the word of God and it is your choice to listen and believe. it also your choice what happens once you have heard and know the word. but you cant be punished for something you dont know is wrong right?
