    USA, Usually the third or fourth week of August, but it can vary by a few weeks depending on where in the country you live.

    Traditionally the first week after Labor Day which is the first Monday in September, but for some odd reason classes start on a Wednesday, instead of starting on a Monday.

    ( That is a whole other question as to why they start in the middle of the week. )
