Do you think giants existed ? The bible said they did....?

It is known that skeletal remains show that the average size of humans has grown over the years this is because of improved nutrition, advancements in medicine and genetics. In biblical times the average person was short by today's standards, so if someone was say the size of an N.B.A. player they would sure seem like a giant to joe average.

There have been giants throughout history. Robert P. Wadlow is the tallest man whose height can be proven. He was measured at 8'11.1" a few days before he died about 1940 in Alton, Illinois. Someone mentioned wrestler "Andre the Giant" who was 7'4" and over 500 pounds according to a wrestling mag. Now, the "Big Show"is said to be 7'0", 508 lbs. The Guiness Book lists men and women who hold records for tallness. At least, it once did. The Bible says Goliath of Gath was six cubits and a span in height, but historian Flavius Josephus says he was four cubits and a span tall. Big difference, nicht wahr? Either height was big for 1000 B.C...but Josephus' figure is more credible than the Bible's. The Bible says many things that are wrong. There are many contradictions and scientific inaccuracies in it.

The bible refers specifically to the men of Gath (a city in ancient Philistia) being giants: Goliath, of David and Goliath, being the most infamous of them. The bible claims that these giants were created when fallen angels had sex with the women of Philistia, thus creating super-humans. I don't buy the causes of their gigantism, but I'd guess they were probably real and their giant size was either genetic or due to a better diet than enjoyed by most in biblical times.

depends on how you define giants. back in the bible days the average male was probably around 5 ft. So if someone was 7 foot, that would have been a giant. Today while 7 ft is tall, its not extremely so.

Goliath wasn't necessarily a giant. His race could of been genetically taller than everyone else's, making him seem like a giant. I don't belive in giants.

Right "giant" was used to describe a human with stronger build than oneself... We have lots of giants today...

i am 19 ft tall and can confirm giants did, and do, exist, however due to having to hide away we are going down in numbers and if anyone knows some nice female giants i can have some fun with, details would be greatly appreciated!
