Popcorn.com attached itself to my computer; I have never heard of the website, how did it get on my computer?

I turned on my computer and this popcorn.com seemed to take over my internet browser. I don't need to know how to get rid of it (I've seen all the answers to the other similar questions to that) but I really want to know how the site got onto my computer. I have never been to popcorn.com, and I am the only one that has access to my computer. If it is a different site I connected to or something I want to warn others. Let me know if you have any idea how it could have attached itself onto my computer. Thanks.

More than likely you downloaded something and did not bother to read the EULA (End User License Agreement). This is why it is important to read all of them. Law requires they tell you if they are downloading something other than the original download.

I use EULyzer to do the major reading. It alerts me to the extra downloads of adware and programs like this. You can download it here.

adult men do! the only's that say they don't are likely lieing! My boyfriend admitted to stalking my profile everyday for 6 months previously he even spoke to me! also, I stay with 3 guy roommates and they do all of it the time, sorting out the present pictures, present day 'likes' etc. no longer a lot of them ought to admit it in spite of the undeniable fact that lol
