Why is it so with BBC/CNN?
Well, while watching Television, I sometimes halt on these channels, and I'm surprised to see that with what consistency they continue to show us news related to middle-east, No matter what sesson or reason it is.
...is middle east the only place news worthy on this planet?

It may not be the only news people want to hear but he middle east is the news people want most ot hear. If you were a news agency would you do the news people watch when they get sick of watching the middle east or would you rather cover the middle east where people watch so much they get sick of it?

Of course it isn't the only place with news or that is newsworthy.
but as the current hot spot, news correspondents/reporters/journalists are covering that story, because it is big. It gives those people a higher chance of getting on-air (broadcast) time.
Of course, that creates a cycle of "we see more about this area" so "it becomes an even hotter spot" so "more journalists go there", etc.
