We all know the guy is crazy, but shouldn't he at least practice his religion of environmentalism, if he wants everyone else too?

Why does it matter? even if Al Gore's moves are hypocritical has no longer some thing to do with even if what he's affirming is ideal or no longer. Gore is purely repeating precisely what climate scientists are affirming in a way it is definitely understood with the aid of lay-human beings like you and me. So the perception continues to be sound in spite of ways many burgers he eats or jets he flies in. And no human being is getting used as a political pawn the following. even if human brought about international warming is taking position is a medical problem and has easily no longer some thing to do with politics. How we are to pass about fixing must be a political problem, yet scientists are the in hardship-free words human beings qualified to say even if that is actual or no longer.

Gore has held these apocalyptic views about the environment for some time. So why, then, didn't Gore dump his family's large stock holdings in Occidental (Oxy) Petroleum? As executor of his family's trust, over the years Gore has controlled hundreds of thousands of dollars in Oxy stock. Oxy has been mired in controversy over oil drilling in ecologically sensitive areas.
Living carbon-neutral apparently doesn't mean living oil-stock free. Nor does it necessarily mean giving up a mining royalty either.
Humanity might be "sitting on a ticking time bomb," but Gore's home in Carthage is sitting on a zinc mine. Gore receives $20,000 a year in royalties from Pasminco Zinc, which operates a zinc concession on his property. Tennessee has cited the company for adding large quantities of barium, iron and zinc to the nearby Caney Fork River.
The issue here is not simply Gore's hypocrisy; it's a question of credibility. If he genuinely believes the apocalyptic vision he has put forth and calls for radical changes in the way other people live, why hasn't he made any radical change in his life? Giving up the zinc mine or one of his homes is not asking much, given that he wants the rest of us to radically change our lives.
The elite do not count to Mr. Gore. Unless of course they are a company in which he does not have stock. He figured out a way to make money off of the gullible tree huggers. He is a capitalist just like the rest of the leftist elite.

He is a politician and looks for every opportunity to be everything for everyone and like most of them, doesn't keep track of what is said from one moment to the next. They have a spin doctor for that but they "obviously" are not earning their pay. All politicians will lie out of both sides of their mouths, especially now that there is "no ACCOUNTABILITY" in the world. They should all be tied together and flushed down a toilet.

Haha, that's awesome. I think it's the inconvenient truth that everyone has always suspected, but I'm happy to finally see it in print. The guy makes me look like a hermit living off the land.

Dude, he invented the internet. If he can do that, he can create a solution for our environment, or, when he is on his tour, everyone will see the problem and later, when someone comes up with a solution, he will claim it as his own. Lockbox.

He's not preaching any religion, he just has an opinion and gets published because he's famous and people will buy the books. Don't like his opinion, don't buy his book or see his movie.
Get a grip and get a life.

Why don't Republicans ever look so critically at their own leaders? They might be surprised.

When he says we must conserve, he means the "common people" not the liberal elite.
