need translation "piece of heaven" into latin?
I need translation of "piece of heaven" into Latin please.
I believe "fragmentum caelum" might be close. I am naming my cottage which is on a road named in Latin and am making a sign and want to make sure I have the correct words. Thank you in advance.

"fragmentum caeli" is what you are thinking of but the word fragmentum is more like "remnant" and is usually used in the plural.
"pars caeli" - piece or part of heaven, is possible.
However rather than a literal word for word translation you might consider "caelestis" meaning "heavenly", "coming from heaven".
If one word is too brief, you could perhaps add house, cottage, or villa in the title - "domus", "casa" , "villa."
"casa caelestis" has the bonus of alliteration too!

I am sorry. I do not know Latin yet, but I plan to take it in college. You should buy an Oxford Latin Dictionary. I think it costs around $150 to $200, but I think it is worth it; it is considered the best and most complete Latin dictionary in the world. There are also online versions. In order to conjugate the words directly, go to a Latin grammar site like the following: http://gwydir.demon.co.uk/PG/Bennett/bennett.htm. Even though it ha demon in the title, it has nothing to do with demons.
