Is there space and mass inside a black hole?
Just a random question. A black hole sucks stuff up which can't escape. Since it is a singularity, I think there is a no space or time. Does that mean no mass? what happens to the mass? does it become energy? does energy necesarily take up space? How big is the center of a black hole? is there mass inside, right up until the event horizon? or is the EH just the point where it's gravitational influence becomes inescapable.... and past the EH there is just energy.... or is there mass?

We don't know what's inside a blackhole. Typically, the size of a blackhole is defined by its event horizon (from the center of the blackhole out to some point where not even light can escape). Inside the event horizon (a sphere) and at the center is the singularity, which is where the spacetime fabric is "ripped", hence no more spacetime. If no more spacetime, then no matter can exist there either, since by definition matter and energy (btw, they are same thing in different form) can only exist within spacetime (this is the definition of existence).
So what happens to the matter or energy sucked into the event horizon of a blackhole? Well, the only thing we can say is that the gravitational influence of the matter/energy is still there. But we can't say anything about what form or shape the matter/energy is in. It is also quite possible that time has stop inside the event horizon (at least relative to us here on Earth).

Black holes behave as if they have mass. As to the structure of the inside of the black hole, nobody knows for sure. The mass is not infinite--the density needs to be large enough to curve space to form an event horizon. The event horizon is the surface of the black hole--the division between what we can observe and what we can't. The event horizon grows larger as the hole becomes more massive, making a bigger dent in the surrounding space.

The center of a Black hole is a singularity which is best explained as "digging a hole, jumping in, and pulling the hole in after you." It is a one dimensional point. There is still mass but we are at this time unable to determine what happens to matter falling into the black hole. Steven Hawking theorizes that Black holes "evaporate" over millions of years as they release energy but this like just about everything else about Black Holes is a theory

Nobody knows, there are only theories. It is very possible that if we can travel through a black hole (without dying of course) that we might be able to time travel, because not even time can escape the black hole. I know it sounds like a Sci-Fi movie but think about it, that is the only thing I can see happening.

trying to obfuscate these subjects so that only technicians can understand them tends to lead to a society in which most people eat and work at McDonalds.
a black hole, as you probably know, is a point in space where mass approaches infinity, and space-time therefore approaches zero, or becomes a "singularity." it is also degenerative to discuss such concepts without resort to mathematical principles like integral calculus and the nonlinear device known as the asymptote.

The time is zero, but the mass is very large - theoretically infinite, since is all mass in a singularity (no space).
