burnt popcorn in microwave?
I'm afraid I set a bag of popcorn on fire as my whole microwave is now stained yellow plus one huge spot in the center back. I've tried everything (Brillo pads, Soft Scrub and Comet) to get it back to its original looks. It also still smells bad, any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

i did the same thing to mine. the yellow stains won't ever come out, but the smell will. put about 1/3 to 1/2 cup baking soda in a large glass and fill aabout half way with water. microwave it for 2-3 min (or until it boils for about 30 sec.) wipe down the inside and the smell will be gone. if it is still there, you can repeat, but mine was gone in one treatment. good luck.

You will probably never get it to look new again, sorry. Put some baking soda and vanilla in a bowl in the microwave. I did this to get rid of the smell of the fake butter they use in microwave popcorn..Worked well. Good luck.

Sorry to hear that ! Take a micro-safe bowl place white vinegar in it, mi-wave for ten minutes, it will smell strong, open the door let the vinegar fumes out,use pot -holder to remove bowl and wipe microwave out with papers towels, hopefully it will take alot of the yellow out !
