When power is taken away from them and given to someone/thing responsible. The only way I can see of overiding the power corrupts cycle is to have something which is uncorruptable ruling us - a machine for example. A machine could be programed to come up with policies that benefit the majority, and it could not be furthering its own interests as it doesn't have any.

corruption will end if there's nothing more to corrupt. But is this possible? I think if people stop becoming greedy with about everything corruption will also stop.

because they cannot resist temptation. their souls are too weak. this will always remain, corruption will never end. the people willl be tired of curroption and so a new 'leader' will stand up. he or she will in his or her turn not be able to resist all the temptations that money and power have to offer and so they too become corrupt. it is a never ending horror.

sorry i couldn't be more optimistic but this is the cold hard truth with which we have to live!

The answer is very simple. Corruption will come to a grinding halt when every man loves his neighbor more than himself. Piece of cake.
