Why don't people do web searches?
I don't get it! If I can do a web search why can't you kids and some adults do it? For those who don't know how...just type the word or phrase you are looking for in your address box and hit go or type in google and then put the word in that search box! Simple and you might learn something. Don't be so lazy!

Some people aren't sure how to phrase their request. Or they just enjoy the fun of asking and choosing an answer. Or they like the variety of answers they can get here. Just because a site is at the top of your search, it doesn't mean it's relevant. Sometimes there are people out there who know of a better one for your needs.
The whole point of this thing is to have fun while you get your questions answered. Everybody knows how to search, they did it before Yahoo Answers.

I don't understand it either. I just assume that the parents don't know that their kids are doing the searches. Of course, I have seen some parents ask questions for their kids homework. That's just sad.
I think that people are getting lazier and lazier.

I believe that it is because what you are saying makes sense, and people do not do things that make sense.
I wondered the same thing. I think a lot of people overslept the day that common was passed out.
