2003 Mustang Rear Axle noise?

My 2003 Mustang with 55000 miles on it makes a squealing type noise at low speed and when turning (left) from the rear axle. There is a TSB out on it that says it could be the clutch pack. Anybody have any experience with this problem? What does it take to fix?

Update:

It is V6 model.

I can check the TSB's, but I need to know the engine size....

    Is Dieter your name?

I checked the TSB database and there was one regarding your issue as seen below. The fix is to have the posi clutch paks replaced. It won't be a wheel bearing as I've read in some asnwers because a wheel/axle bearing will be noisey all the time, not just when cornering. HTH.....The job will require removal of the diff carrier in order to replace the posi clutch packs. Not a big deal is you have some experiance, if not, let a professional do it for you.

    ISSUE

Some 2003-2004 Expedition, 2003 Navigator, 2004 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 9.75" or 8.8" limited slip rear axle, and 2002-2004 Explorer 4dr, Mountaineer, and Mustang vehicles equipped with 8.8" limited slip rear axle may exhibit a chatter shudder, a binding sensation, or a vibration during low speed turns. On 4X4 vehicles, the sensation may appear to be originating from the front axle or the steering gear.

You may want to think about having someone open up your differential to see if the positraction is working as it should or not, especially if it sounds like a tire squealing when you're making the turns.

easiest thing first check your oil in the rear end. then check the shaft bearing
