I think there are plenty of good reasons to reduce carbon emissions regardless of global warming... things there is actual concrete proof of a cause and effect relationship, since global warming has some impressive correlative evidence, it is not a concrete cause and effect relationship... and that is why I am hesitant to accept it so readily. I believe it's true, but I'll hold out for some better evidence before I fully endorse it as fact.

In the meantime, I think we should reduce CO2 emissions because it causes childhood asthma, pollution, acid rain (which hurts a lot of wildlife), and we should become more energy efficient to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and other fossil fuels... for financial reasons.

As a Canadian, I think it's a great idea and I can't wait to get more of it. Currently because of our climate we can only really live on 3% of our land area. Even then, we spend a fortune on heating our homes. Global warming can't come too soon.

i think that it is a world problem and most of the people it's not taking it seriously, i just saw a question that said that global warming doesn't exist, we need to reduce the reduce the carbon emissions the problem is that of course we canot do it for tomorrow, more money has to go in all countrys to the energy investigations as to clean energy (but no to nuclear energy)

I think that the globe is warming due to an interglacial period. But, to think that we are the cause of this warming trend is perposterous. Even if we did not put out all the CO2 into the atmosphere that we have, the globe would still be warming.

I let Mark Fiore do the talking for me... see below.

By the way, this is only a discussion in the US, the other 95% of the world already knows it's a real problem that should be handled fast!

It is true, but blown WAY out of proportion. Its the democrats way to blame every weather related problem on Bush.
