It would take a series of events to finally get around to causing the heart attack but it is possible. First the ulcers would have to create blood poisoning and then it would have to circulat through the body, at the same time the GI bleed would have to continue causing amemia to occur. The combined effects of the blood poison and anemia would be likely enough to cause a heart attack if the person is older and has other pre-exisiting illness.
The easier way for this to happen is for a blood clot to move up to the heart. This would be called an "emboli" and that would definately do it...

wow ive never heard of it but i think it would be possible. Ulcers are an infection gone wild in your stomach, etc so if they rupture and the bacteria and toxins from the bacteria would enter your blood stream. An infection in the bloodstream can cause a heart attack or in the very least heart damage

An interruption of the alimentary tract can lead to sepsis (AKA "blood poisoning"), and via the bloodstream can infect a number of organs, including the heart. In this way, it can lead to severe coronary shock, but not a "heart attack" in the classic "accumulated plaque in the blood vessels cause myocardial infarct in one region of the heart muscle" kind of way.
My brother had that happen a few years ago, was in ICU for a week, under doctor's care for a couple of years afterward.

There is a type of cyst called a hydadid cyst that can form on the heart muscle. They are often lethal if they rupture, however they are not common.

hmmm. well an ulcer is just a hole in the ining of your stomach.... so if it were REALLY bad you could get tomach acids around your body... that would be pretty bad but I dont see that becoming a heart attack. I dont think it hapens.
