Do terrorists remind you of the KKK?
Do the terrorists remind you of the KKK with their heads covered and hatred for people without any consideration of that person or do you think the United States and other western democracies have fueled their anger and they are freedom fighters?
I think the KKK was almost a religion upon itself.

Neither. The KKK was a hate group based largely on racial and lifestyle issues. Religion played only a small part in their hatred (i.e. Jews). Some groups of the KKK also didn't like Catholics but anti-semitism was the prevailing religious side of it. But largely they were against non-caucasians, and non-heterosexuals.
The terrorists such as Hezbollah and others are (from their side) fighting as Islamic Facists. They are not freedom fighters because if they won, there wouldn't be freedom, there would be destruction and enslavement. Their motivation is almost entirely religious (i.e. islam) and while they also hate America's democratic society, that is fueled by the fact that in a democratic society, a person can choose to worship something else and make decisions for themselves.
I would like to note that I am not saying Islam is in itself bad. I know a few muslims myself and they're great folks and they believe what's going on is a horrible thing just as much as I do.
Western society has not fueled them in any way other than trying to live free lives. They don't want us around because freedom and knowledge and respect are dangerous to them. They don't need us to encourage them to kidnap people from Isreal and them bomb their country; they've been doing that long before we were around.
What fuels them is when they attack someone, and both the UN and individual countries take their side, and put the blame on the country that was originally attacked.
It's like scolding the fat kid for sticking up for himself after he got beat up on the playground, then patting the bully on the head and saying "there there we'll make him stop."
The KKK are a hate group, but they are fighting a racial war first and foremost, and they are slowly but surely losing. The terrorists are fighting a holy war, and they are far better equipped, and have the UN to shield them.

No, the main difference is the ignorance level and violence level, it seems the KKK would be far more ignorant than terrorists and less violent at least at the global level obviously. Actually, the main glaring difference would be intelligence, I've never seen or heard of a "smart" racist... they all seem to be the most undereducated ignorant people in the world. No offense but even all the KKK people put together couldn't come up with a plan like the hijackers on 9/11, I don't want to give them any credit but you do have to admit it did take some brains albeit pigeon-sized brains, but still bigger brains than the KKK. About "fueling the U.S. and other western democracies anger", I don't think that's the case they really use the U.S. and other western democracies as excuses for their actions more than anything.

Dvc_dude_25's answer's first two paragraph has made me rethink and tweak my view on the terrorism issue, although I disagree with the last four paragraphs. Especially interesting was the sentence "they are not freedom fighters because if they won, there wouldn't be freedom, there would be destruction and enslavement".
But I think that in the case of terrorism, as with the KKK and several other hate movements, one has to separate the leaders from the followers. The leaders do not commit suicide attacks nor put their butts on the line. This is true of Osama, of Hitler, of Bush and of Klan leaders among others. In some cases they cover their faces but not always feel the need to.
What does unite them though is the ability to take hold of the fears, desperation and need for hope and purpose of the masses and use it for their own agenda. There is nothing new in this and you could go as far back as the crusades for historical example of the same phenomenon.
Where I mainly disagree with Dcv is in that he claims that "Western society has not fueled them in any way [ ]". The East-West relation has been mostly a history of brutality and invasions, but more recently (last couple of centuries) it has been the West who has the upper hand. And it has been a very heavy hand.
This brutal handling of the Mid-East has created a fertile ground for the terrorist leaders to harvest ripe "true believers". The funny thing is that it works both ways. The terrorists attacks have also fueled ripe true believers here and the leaders are taking advantage of it.

People would love to blame the United States, in fact they do. But I think you have a good point and I find them very similiar. The terrorists are wrong in their thinking, just like the members of the KKK. You should only pity them though, they have no individuality and can't think for themselves.

Yes they are like Nazi's and the KKK, they cover their faces like chickens and the KKK, they don't have the guts to identify themselves.

HMMM, I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT LIKE THAT, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE HATRED THAT THESE GROUPS HAVE FOR OTHERS. I JUST SEEN THE MOVIE "WORLD TRADE CENTER" THE OTHER NIGHT AND IT'S SO HARD TO COMPREHEND WHY THEY DID IT. I HAVE FRIENDS OVER IN IRAQ FIGHTING RIGHT NOW AND HE SENT PICTURES WITH THE CHILDREN AND LABELED THEM "FUTURE TERRORISTS" NOT TO BE FUNNY, HE WAS SERIOUS--HE SAID THAT THEY ARE JUST RAISED THAT WAY AND THAT YOU CAN JUST FEEL THE ANGER IN THEM, NOT ALL OF THEM OFCOURSE.
