Curious about a painter named N. Ceylon?
I was given a very nice seascape that I believe is done in acrylics. It is signed N. Ceylon at the bottom but I can not find anything on this artist anywhere. I would like to know more about the artist, especially as I have just found a second seascape done by this artist but would really like to know what it might be worth before purchasing it. Any information is helpful.

Is it possible that that is not the artist's name, but the title or description? As in "north Ceylon?" I believe Wiki says Sri Lanka was known as Ceylon before 1972.

well i dont know who painted it, but it may be a sri lankan painter as sri lanka was formerly known as ceylon. this is possible becase sri lanka has a really pretty coastline and many artists like to draw the sri lankan beaches. also there are certain sri lankan artists whi have heard only paint the sea. you ave probably come across 1 of these painters. i dont know any names though.. sorry. maybe if you search for sri lankan painters u might get an idea of who painted this octure. c i cant help u coz i dont know exactly what the picture looks like
