What happened to "rating a question" points?

Yes, they adapted the rating system last Thursday (8/10). You can now rate everything - questions and any answer - but, you no longer get any points for it - neither for rating nor for gettting a thumbs up on your best answers.

It sounds like Yahoo Answers is testing this out, but will probably reinstate points for rating in the future (but, it may be implemented differently.)

Yahoo took those points away from us. There are no more points for rating answers with a thumbs up or down. And if you get a best answer, there are no longer points for every thumbs up that your answer is given. If you look at the points and levels page, you will notice that there are no longer any points for rating answers.

I'm on level 6 and this change is costing me 100 points per day.

Another change on ratings is that you must be at least on level 2 before you are allowed to rate answers. Of course, since there are no more points, it isn't much of a loss for those on level 1.

They stopped giving points for rating. I guess they couldn't have a system in place that recognised points for rating an answer and not a question. I've read others say that it may come back in time. You can always vent off in the forums.

Yahoo does not give points for rating answers anymore. I hate they took that away.

Yeah, they removed the chance to get one point each time you rate an answer... I'm a bit irritated by it...
