I'm refinishing a dresser - using an oil based stain - What's the safest method for cleaning my brushes ?

    "Paint Thinner", or "Brush Cleaner", or "Mineral Spirits", all are petroleum based and are the only products you can use,in a ventilated area. Soap and water WILL NOT WORK..... NEVER EVER pour the dirty cleaning Chemicals down the drain, always take the used material to a recycling center.

    with mineral spirits you can buy at the paint department of any store that has one 3 good washes is usually enought

    MINERAL SPIRITS OR TURPENTINE...TURPENTINE IS FASTER AND THEN YOU NEED TO SOAP AND WATER THEM AND LAY FLAT TO DRY
