i will make this simple. go to start button, control panel, add/remove programs, and uninstall yahoo messenger.

when the uninstall is finished, go to the start button, run, type in (no quotes) " regedit" and press ok.

look through every entry and delete anything that says yahoo messenger

when this is done, close the regedit window, go to yahoo and download the new messenger and install it.

If I may suggest, you can't seem to get a satisfactory answer because you are neglecting to ask a question. You did include a question mark, however, it should be a period.

I agree, what question? if it is the one I saw 2 times yesterday about deleting your Yahoo account and starting over, I don't think you can.

You dare insult the computer geeks? I'm not a geek, but you imply that I am. I can help you, but I'd rather not.

You sound too stupid to own a computer. Try an abacus.
