What software do I need to put a movie and the translation on a DVD?

I want to make it so that it will play on a normal DVD player that does not support DivX. You know to be able to select the subtitle and stuff.

go to a website called doom 9 http://www.doom9.net/ you will find the software you need, but be warned, it is a very time consuming process. It is possible, I have done it. It took a little while though and I had to learn a lot about frame rates, .IFO and .VOB files and the structure tree of a DVD. They have very informative tutorials to help you.

In general, this site rocks for all you video editing needs, and almost all of the software is free!

You can also find a lot of subtitle files on the net. So you don't have to type them all yourself.

    Good luck.

I don't think the general public can get one. I would love to find something to add subtitles for foriegn tapes without subtitles.
