Are appearances more imortant than the person?

Do people these days judge people by their appearance...or what they wear....or by which car they drive....or by how much their house costs..or which location they live in....rather than see the actual person behind all that.

To the selfish, narrow-minded, shallow and insecure...YES...and yet how funny that these same individuals who put so much stock in looks and how OTHERS compare to each other and to them are the same ones who have issues with being lonely, finding true friends, loving themselves, and even being honest.

In this world there are lot of things that depend on outer appearance and yet there are some things where you better hope you have made your inner beauty shine. It's sad though that the inner beauty does not get a chance to shine as often or as regularly as it should.

Unfortunately they do judge people by appearances. Picture this, two men are walking one behind the other. The first one is wearing an expensive suit and has a lot of gold around his wrist and fingers. the one behind him is dressed in shabby clothes, bought at the thrift store. Which one do you think people would most likely trust? The first guy of coarse.

It's not what's on a man that make him a man. It's what's inside of him that makes him a man.

It is part of materialism. BTW materialism is slowly giving way to spirit...ism.

It's the person that matters not their "wrappings".
