Hemorrhoids are varicose veins of the rectum. They can be external or internal. If they become troublesome enough surgery or electro cauterization are options. Both can be done in an office setting under local anesthesia.

Surgery is not usually necessary. If a person get hemmorhoids over and over again, then surgery might be a good option.
Home treatment works great for most people. Suggested rememdies include:
-putting ice on the area (wrapped in a cloth or plastic bag) for 10 min at a time, several times per day.
- having a Sitz bath a few times a day, especially after a bowel movement (put just a few inches of water in the tub and sit in it for a few minutes
- using creams and ointment, such as Preparation H
- lying down a lot---don't sit or stand too much
Many people find that taking one day off of work/school at the beginning to be very helpful. Use that first 'bad day' to ice, to rest, to have sitz baths, and apply the cream. If you can do that for one full day, you often notice dramatic improvment in the pain and discomfort.
For prevention of future hemorrhoids:
- lots of water daily
- exercise regularly
- lots of fiber---either fruits, veggies, and grains, or something like Metamucil each day.

depends on what kind of hemmororids. if they are external, just some warm water and epsom salt plus some sort of cream would work. internal ones can be then without surgery, the doctor puts a rubber bnd on the vessel and within a few days it falls out when you defecate and hemmoroid is gone. if they are severe, surgery my be needed. go see your doctor.

you can use over the counter medication like a Preparation H..if that doesnt help, see the doctor. There are prescription meds they can try first...If all else fails, then surgery, but usually as a last resort.

Hemorrhoids are associated with constipation and straining at bowel movements. How to get rid of hemorrhoids https://tr.im/Nb3f3
Pregnancy is also associated with hemorrhoids. These conditions lead to increased pressure within the hemorrhoidal veins that causes them to swell. Other conditions, for example chronic liver disease, may also cause increased venous pressure and may be associated with hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are very common and are estimated to occur in up to one-half of the population by age 50.

A doc would need to determine how serious your hems are. There are non prescription over the counter hem creams available but I guess you need a prognosis first.

diets and medications can most often get rid of them. otherwise you might need surgery which isn't that bad at all.

ARE THEY BLEEDING? YOU CAN TRY AN OVER THE COUNTER CREAM LIKE PREPERATION H FIRST...
IF THEY ARE INTERNAL THEY CAN BE PRETTY PAINFUL.
YOU MAY NEED TO TRY A SUPPOSITORY FIRST WITH AN INFLAMMATORY INGREDIANT IF YOU ARE REALLY CONSTIPATED. CHANGE TO A FIBER RICH DIET ALSO.
HOPE THIS HELPS.
