Scaps or Bits ??

OK guys around the globe, here we have it, I order Fish and Chips with Scraps, my Husband insists they are called Bits, I want a vote on this to solve the on going battle against me and him, let me know what you call them, PLEASSSSSSSE. are they:-

1. Scraps

2. Bits or

3. Known as something else (Please tell me)

Hopefullly I can then solve this on going issue between us, we are from different parts of Yorkshire, I am from Leeds, he is from Huddersfield, is there a difference in different parts of the country??

    Scraps. Always were, always will be. The bits are just substandard scraps. Bits dream of being scraps. Bits are what is left after people like you have eaten all the scraps.

    Definately scraps in the North West. I bet I am older than you and I have known them as that since 1957.

    i am not old enough to have actually gone to the chip shop and ordered them but i have heard alot of old people call them BITS, even working all over the country people have spoke about the good old days when they use to go to the chippy and order bits for something like a half a penny or some-rt
