Has anyone watched The Tick?
I thought this was one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Loved the goofy off-beat humor. I bought the series since it went off the air so quickly. Does anyone else share my views? Why do you think it got cancelled so quickly?

Yes, I do, The Tick was great, and it got cancelled so quick for the same reasons Freakazoid, and The Anamaniacs did, that is they were shown for children, but they hid a few older jokes in them, and parents got pissed off, and if you think the show of The Tick was funny, you should find a couple of the comic books, they are hilarious.

I remember seeing the animated version on The Comedy Channel, along with another great toon, "The Critic". I hated the live-action version.
I didn't see a lot of "The Tick" because that was before I had Tivo and I wasn't around much when it was on. What I saw was great. My favorites were the ones when a lot of different superheroes got together to fight crime. Some of those outrageous characters were hilarious.
Remember Four-Legged Man?
But there's some good news! I found season one of the cartoon Tick on Amazon. Go here or do an Amazon search on "The Tick vs. Season one". The DVD came out "way back" in 1994 (sigh).
Now the 90's were a long time ago...

The live action version is on Amazon too. Whatever floats your boat, enjoy!

The Tick was another of those shows where it was written for kids' broadcasting but it was really for the adults. The parodies on a number of the superhero tropes were really good. What I liked about it was that these people (and the villians) acted like real people. They were concerned about keeping the car running and their apartment deposits.
It probably got cancelled because the network showing it decided that it had something better that could get better ratings.

I watched the cartoon and thought it was very funny.Deflator Mouse and Miss America(I think that was her name) should have hooked up.The Venture Brothers is sort of like a darker version of The Tick.
