How do I keep outsiders from my internet connection?

I added a router & wireless connection for my second computer & now I have 4 - 6 mystery users on my connection. How do I protect myself?

    edit your firewall settings so it can block users or get a better firewall, or put a pass word on your internet acess. your firewall should be able to give u that option.

    make it secured and encrypted. I don't know how to do it, thats just what the people at circuit city told me..
