How long does your baby nap?
How many naps does he take? I have 6 month old twins and recently one of them stopped napping he get real cranky he just won't go down for a nap. My other one take 2 naps each for about 3 hours. Just wondering how it is for other parents.

I have 7 month old twins and I kind of have the same problem. One sleeps more soundly at night, the other still gets up twice, they both take naps during the day, but rarely do either sleep for more than an hour or so. The one that doesn't sleep through the night usually takes 4 or 5 15 minute naps, the one that sleeps through the night, take 2 longer naps. The only way I can get any sleep is to separate them....they wake each other up. If you know there is nothing wrong with him other than he's sleepy, just put him in a crib alone. It is harder on you than it is on him and it usually doesn't take more than 5-10 min. for him to give up and go to sleep. Good luck.

My son has been taking 2-3 naps since he turns 3 months old, he is now 5 months. He sleeps through the night from 8pm to 6am, then takes an hour nap after his morning feeding. In the afternoon after his lunch, he takes another 1-2 hours nap. Then sometimes before his dinner, he takes a quick 30 minutes nap around 5ish. He also sometimes naps in his pushchair in addition to these set naps.
I think your son is old enough not to nap as much as twice 3 hours each. I guess the problem is to keep the sleeping one asleep and the waking one entertained! :-) Good luck!

I have a 6 month old to, she takes about 3-4 naps a day for about 15 minutes each, she is really cranky too, I wish she would go done longer so I can get stuff done, when she's not napping she will hang on me all day till daddy gets home. Sounds like one of yours is a good sleeper thank goodness for you.

My 5 1/2 month old naps every two hours for 1/2 hour each. Not very convenient for me, but that's what parenting is about. If I try to get her to go longer (between naps), she gets extremely cranky. And very rarely are they longer than 1/2 hour. Maybe 45 minutes if I'm lucky.

I have an eight month old and she usually takes one morning nap and one afternoon nap. The naps generally range from 20 minutes to one hour. It all depends on if she got a good night's rest too. She's teething right now, so her sleep schedule has been flushed down the drain.

My 5 month old takes 2 naps a day - one in the morning, one in the afternoon. Each will last anywhere from 1-3 hours.
Lately, however, she started teething, which is really disrupting her sleep schedule. Perhaps your baby has the same problem. Check out the article below for more info.
