What's the best way to negotiate for a car deal?

Without paying too much for interest, insurance, accessories and extras, saleman's commision, and too high monthly payments.

Look into buying a demo car, dealers will only put low miles on the cars and sell them at a low price, also don' t be in a hurry to buy a car, shop around for the best deal, I did and saved thousands of $$$$. Also get the car checked out by a mechanic better now then stuck with headaches later on. Happy car shopping.

Do your homework. The Internet gives you tremendous resources. Know your credit score. Use the on line finance tools to detemine how much car you can afford. Insurance is up to you. As a former new car salesman I loved customers who knew what they wanted and could afford and had the credentials to back them up. Tip: Shop for a car on the last Saturday of the month after 4pm. If the dealership and salesperson is 1 car away from major bonus they will give the car away just to move the unit.

Try buying the last weekend or last day of the month when the salesmen are trying to get their quota. Also, being prepared ahead of time by checking bluebook values and market for your area. For example, convertibles may be cheaper to buy if sold in Idaho for instance. hehe
