Which industry is best to work in?
I have just finished my marketing degree and would like to know, which companies are good to work for in the long-term, companies that recognise and promote their staff.

Get into real estate, people always need a place to live. And buy land god isnt making any more.

For marketing? Consumer Packaged Goods companies are very strong, as are any consumable companies with strong brands (Nike, McDonalds, etc.). Both will build your resume and have a lot of credibility wherever you go to later.
After that, you can pick industries - I would say tech and finance offer the most movement based on the jobs a marketer might be doing. Too many companies to list with that many options though.

work in an industry, for which you feel some passion.The idea is to learn all the tricks, and start on your own at a later stage, work like you would, for your own business, that way you can learn all the tricks. Make sure you mask your ulterior motive!
