I registered a car for somebody else and put the title in my name (stupid i know but read on)?
He doesn't have a liscence because he can't pass the eye test... long story there.... but he can see just fine..... so i put his car in my name for him and did a thirty day registration... realizing my horrible mistake i don't know how to get the car outta my name. Can i sign the title over to him after having it notarized after the thirty day permit is up? Would i be free of this horrible deal? Would it be his problem? If not how can i get it out of my name so nothing comes back onto me? Please Help!

As long as there is no lien on the car, you can sign the back of the ownership under the sellers portion and have him or anyone you want take it to the license bureau and they will transfer it over for a small fee. Once the new ownership is printed in his name, the car is no longer your responsibility.

For starters, if he can't pass the eye test, then he CAN"T see "just fine", no matter what the "long story" is! You aren't doing him any favor if he has vision issues and you're enabling him to get behind the wheel of a car. If he doesn't have a license he shouldn't be driving anyway, period. What were you thinking? If he drives, gets into an accident, and hurts himself and/or someone else, in a car that's yours in the eyes of the law, guess who's liable? YOU. Not to mention there could be legal issues here as far as trying to defraud the original seller/dealer into thinking the vehicle was for you, when it wasn't.
First, don't let him anywhere near that car until you are no longer connected with it. Keep the keys. The 30 day registration period's not the issue...it simply expires in 30 days. The title is the issue here... Go to a title service business or DMV, sign over the title, and do the title transfer ASAP so your name is taken off the title and registration. Once the title comes back in his name, you should be OK...but this guy shouldn't be driving it until then...and he shouldn't be driving at ALL without a license, not to mention a little thing called INSURANCE.
Not trying to rub it in, but this was a dumb move...and for your sake I hope it doesn't come back to bite you. Until the title is signed over to him, cleared, and a title is issued in his name only, you are exposed. I'd consider calling an attorney to make sure you are protected as much as possible until you can shed yourself of this situation.

Well if the title is just in your name then sign the back of the title back over to him. Do a bill of sale like say u sold it to him for a $1. They will collect sales tax stuff from that. I do believe he will have to have a valid driver licenses or a state issued id. (Show proof of residence) Just to make sure everything is done correctly either go to the DMV location or call them and talk to a title clerk and just let them know the ordeal and explain it clearly. They should be able to tell you exactly what you need to do so an error is not made. Trust me I work for the DMV and if the title is messed up it takes like forever to fix it. So just call them so you can get it fixed. Everyone makes mistakes u were just helping someone out.

Just sign the title over to him. You do not need to wait, sign it over right now. Then he can title and register it in his own name. He does NOT need a license to reg or title a car. Whether or not you need to have it notarized is up to your state's laws. Check with the DMV on that.

You should go back to where you registrated the car and bring your friend to try and fix the matter. Your not stupid, everyone makes mistakes. :-)

he cant see just fine, he cant pass the test. so he still doesnt have a license. best bet is to find a family member of his to do the same thing to get the liability off your shoulders.

get it xfered to his name ASAP
if he wrecks it. they go for the registration owner after going for him, you could be financially libel.
