I know this is broad, but what could I do in Toronto?

The CN tower is an awesome place to visit even for us residents who live here. Walking on the glass floor on the tower is pretty fun. The Toronto Island are also quite a sight and it's really good for biking there. If you like shopping, then you could visit the Eaton Centre downtown or go to Yorkdale. The CNE is open right now and there's tons of stuff to do there such as games, rides, shows, and some pretty neat stuff to buy. Ontario Place which is across from the CNE is also worth visiting and the cost of admission there is covered by you admission to the CNE (or vise-versa). There's also a Chinese Lantern Festival at Ontario Place this year and it's pretty neat. Admission to that is seperate though. I'd recommend that if ou're going to go there, go at 6:30 - 7:30pm that way you can compare how the lanterns look during the day and at night. Although not in Toronto, another place that is well worth going is Paramount Canada's Wonderland. There are alot of rides there and the waterpark is alot of fun. That pretty much all the places I've been to. The other attrations I don't really know about.

As for places to stay, I'd stay away from Jane and Finch cause of the frequent crimes there, and Chinatown just cause of the noise and sanitation.

Eat dinner in the 4-5 star restaurant up in the CN Tower. It revolves and you get to go up to the space deck (very high!) and walk on the glass floor when you're fiunished. Bring your camera!

There's also a Marineland, a great underground shopping mall that threads it's way under the city, the zoo is good, and there are several fun museums.

If you're a sports fan you could plan a Major League baseball game, an NBA basketball game, or an NHL hockey game into your trip.

Other things to do if you don't have kids are nightlife downtown on or near Young St. There are several things to do nearby also, but you'll find much more cool stuff than i've already mentioned.

The last time i went there for a weekend was a few years ago. The US/Canada exchange rates gave us a huge advantage. We stayed in a 5 star hotel, we ate at some of the best restaurants, and we had an overall great time for less than a regular weekend in the US would cost us staying and eating in average places.

If you're going to Toronto before Labour Day, take in Canadian National Exhibition, think of it as a national fair.

Lots of theatre to parktake in Toronto, good night clubs. You probably might like to see MuchMusic area and perhaps air your like or dispeasure of any subject at Speakers Corner for a dollar(loonie).

There's the Royal Ontario Museum, The Ontario Science Centre, many different art galleries, the Toronto Zoo. Good shopping in Yorkville and the Eatons Centre.

I don't live in Toronto so I can't tell you about the hotels, but stay away from the Jane and Finch area.

true..you answered your own question. visit r.o.m. royal ontario museum. it is great. go to the cn. tower -- see the city from the top. if you have time take the bus and go to niagara falls...a wonder of this world. if you have "money" visit some gasinos-- ask your hotel clerk --he will guide you. go and walk in china town...near the toronto city hall. wonder why city hall is in the shape it is in -- it is part of human male body -- it is a modern structure -- compare it with its older version -- a block away. go to young street -- stroll around during day time. enjoy your stay...and do your errands during the day and sleep at night...bon voyage.

Drive to Niagara Falls. When you are there, go further up the mountain and visit some if its famous wineries. Learn how the famous Canadian ice wines are made and try them. There's a casino by the falls also.
