Yep, and I don't even drink it. Other people around me have. And if you say it hasn't effected you you need to look at were your tax money is going. Or read the news paper and see how man small children die from DUI'S.

Yes it has. It depends on the individual. A lot of people can use alcohol wisely and socially, so its never the booze. If you enjoy an occasional drink, I think there is nothing wrong with it. In my case it became a crutch in life, I thought it could carry me through tough times.
I am a much better person not using alcohol - 4 years sober and still going strong.

I love scotch and beer. I would drink everyday if I could. But I have a disease which causes me to take meds which have heavy interaction with alcohol. Can't touch it. I really thought it would be breeze to stop drinking but it was more of a challenge than I thought. Could I have been on the edge of alcoholism? I don't know. But I can tell you this. I have saved a ton of money not drinking beer. To me that is a negative effect...how much it cost to drink.
