does anyone have any idea on a release date for xp sp3?
hrmm interesting, i hate to say it but i feel vista is gonna go bust, least that is the impression i get with bill's anticipated step down date so close to vista's "release" date

Last "official" word from Microsoft was Nov 2007..... more than a year from now. But industry insiders say it really depends on when MS releases Vista to the general public. If Vista is released in Jan 2007 as planned, MS won't be in any hurry to release XP SP3. But if Vista isn't released on schedule, MS will face a public relations nightmare because of the many times they've postponed Vista's release. In order to smooth things over with the general public, they'd probably release SP3 earlier than Nov 2007. Here's a couple of articles I found:
