Airlines...what's their problem anyway?

Seems like the airline buisness is the only one that can really get away with being extremely rude to their customers and the customers actually expect it. How do you think it got that way?

Because we are in such a rush to get to places that would take forever to visit otherwise, they know they have us by the balls.

Personally, I DO NOT think airline rude w/ their customers. I work w/ Korean Air for more than 5 yrs. I've seen so many diff. type of customers. Some understands our jobs and some don't. Those that don't understand of the situation, they're also RUDE, MEAN and think they're the BOSS. I'm sorry sometimes things don't usually go the way you want. But hey, you're not the only one who gets the problem. There are also probably hundreds more people on the same flight w/ u.

What i've seen most was... they're NOT happy w/ their sitting. Hey helloo.. blame it on the companies that make airplanes.. I can't assign AISLE or WINDOW to all 400 passengers.. so FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.. don't they already know that rule??? So when we can't give you that sit.. DON'T GET PISS.. There's nothing we can do..

Airlines can get away with causing problems to their customers because they are the fastest way to get anywhere. Airlines have no competiton in terms of other forms of transportation. Without competition, they can pretty much do anything that they think that they can get away with.

All the airlines are losing money and the employees probably lost some benefits and just don't care anymore. It didn't used to be like it is now.

I haven't had a problem with the airline employees, but the security people have been rude. Had a search once that woke me up!!!

Thats really not true. Go into any business, reataurant or store for example, that hires teenagers and you'll see that airlines are not the only business's that can be rude to customers.

Imagine yourself dealing with angry and annoying customers who yell at you for something that was not in your control. Imagine that it is your duty to keep people in order so nothing chaotic will happen. Now you see why some people end up cranky.

one thing you have to remember is they have a job to do, and that job is required of them whether they're nice or not.

As far as airport security, which does NOT fall under airlines, they don't have to be nice to you at all. You flying is a privilege, not a right

many airline employees probly are on drugs and scared. I actually met one time a stewartress whom admitted she used heroin. That was enough for me to be scared as a passenger.

Do not seem to be happening all over the world, probably just where you are.
