Choices are the logical thing.
Public TV should have standards based on Time
6am-9pm should be family oriented- including the news.
Anything goes after that.
Kids should be in bed by 7-8pm or not watching the TV anyway.
Control is the option of the individual.
Parental control is highly recommended. I own a DVD, and I literally record programs and my child watches only what I select for him on the main TV in our house. He can walk up and push it on and it automatically comes on to any shows- i select.
Good luck.
I feel strongly that the culture is formed by the mighty "dollar", so the advertisers will set the tone of the money of the TV programing, so contact them.

To live in a democracy, you need free speech. So banning something (even if it makes sense), would go against our democracy. However, I do believe that too much of a good thing can be bad for a person. I would definitley be in favor of limiting **** and stupid channels to certain hours and days. And also putting a hefty price on them.

I think to each their own. If it is offensive have it blocked. If there are children in the house have it blocked. I don't think it should be banned, however. We control the channels we allow in our homes, isn't that enough?

Adults should be allowed the freedom to choose whether they want to watch such programs or not. It it their responsibility to keep it away from there kids. Things like parental lock on tv's can help.

Once you start banning TV programs.Books will be next.We as a people will lose what freedoms we have left. Freedom means America.Right to choose what we watch and what we read and what we say.

no. banning **** or other things that SOME people find offensive or inappropriate may lead to amendments of our rights- not necessarily a good thing.

Never, just call it adult viewing. When you mention **** that is too general. there are too many karr's I mean sickos out there who like ****. As long as it is adult I like to just call it adult viewing. The word **** is not mentioned in the Bible.

Muslims have extra freedom in India than in any Arab united states of america. in case you do in comparison to India then flow to Pakistan and notice how Indian Muslims are taken care of. they are taken care of like third-class voters

BAnning solves nothing, as you now create an interest in something that it doesn't deserve.
Just restrict access to it and it will lose its flavor and zing

If you value freedom of speech, you need to be very careful about what you decide to ban.
