How can you tell if you are being hacked or your typing observed?

Still have the black box to the right of each letter I hit on the keyboard. I tried hitting the insert button....Am I being watched?

There are some good software programs that will monitor your web connection & let you know the details of any attempts made to hack into your computer. Most of those type of attempts are to gather info such as banking/identity, not to watch a specific person's typing. However, companies also want to know what "we" are doing so they can tailor their advertising & make more money, etc, so they do "watch" by collecting "cookies" which are pieces of info about your computer & web traffic. The other motivations are to spread viruses of course. In our experience Norton has failed us, but after having a very successful in home computer repair done & recommendation of AVG antivirus, we'd recommend it also. Check into what's available where you are & read up on antivirus software, firewalls & also be sure to clear your web history, & cookies regularly. This will help a lot.

You need to look at what processes are running. Hit ctrl Alt Del and to see what processes are running, but without doing a web search on each item you most likely won't know what the programs do...

Try this, to see if its just a hardware problem... Restart you computer in safe mode, hit f8 when you restart the computer.

Start>Settings>Control Panel and click on the system icon. Go to the Hardware tab then click on Device Manager click on the plus sign next to keyboards then right click on your keyboard and uninstall it.

You shouldn't have to worry about that if your not doing anything wrong. Why worry. Plus, think about it this way. There are 290 million people in the United States - most of which all do something illegal from time to time - and I think that it is highly unlikely that someone would care about little old you so much as to watch you. They are probably out wondering the same thing you are, and let me assure you that nobody is watching you.

Dont think so but if you are, look at the bottom right of your screen, if there is an unusual icon, you might be watched
