Apartment or not apartment this is the question?

I need out of this house. I have been away at college for the last 4 years and moved back in this May 2006. My parents mostly my father is going to drive me to drink (more than I already do, lol). I recently got a job and plan to get a part time second ( I love having my own money, and buying something new). But I know they will try to talk me out of moving out. They already mentioned me not moving. I eventually want to go back and get my law degree, so that will put a major dent in work and money. And once I move out I don't want to have to move back.

Wow, I understand your dilema. If you are uncomfortable at home now, how will you focus on your studies later? I understand the concerns that you have, but take it from someone that has been there, prepare NOW to move LATER.

Set a goal as to when you will move out, give yourself 6 months to a year to save for your security deposit, items needed for the house etc., know that when your family and father are driving you crazy that you are only there for a little while longer while you get the funding together.

You can take night classes and work during the day or you can get a roommate or two to help out with the expenses of an apartment, but I am of the opinion that if you are miserable at home, it will affect the other things you strive to do.

Make a plan to move, decide on a roomie or maybe a cheaper place, a studio or even rent a room to call your own. At least you'll have peace and you can still go to school, either full time, part time or however it fits in, but don't stay home and be miserable or you'll never accomplish your goals in the ways that you may want to.

    Best of luck.
