I'm assuming you're on the Hellfire scenario. That was probably one of the most frustrating scenarios for me, and it's been awhile since I've played the game, but I do remember a little bit about it.

Depending on the route you took at the beginning, the picture puzzle may or may not be available. At the beginning of the scenario, if you chose to go through the 3rd floor doorway (by the fireman's body), then you won't have to do the picture puzzle (one of your AI partners will disappear for awhile, and they will be the one's taking the second route, solving the puzzle for you). However, if you go to the Apple Inn Square, wait for the zombie in front of the door to come to life (living zombies, ha ha...yeah...), and head through that door after he's dead again, then you'll have to do the picture puzzle yourself (and your disappearing AI partner will go through the 3rd floor route, getting the items and solving those puzzles for you).

If you went through the 3rd floor, then just ignore the pictures on the walls. Your AI partner will have already solved it and will have the item(s) you need to continue. Just continue on down the to lobby area to progress in the game.

If you went through the Square, then you'll have to go into the room with the large map on the wall. Some spaces will be lit, and some won't be, and the object of this puzzle is to make sure all of the squares are lit. So, what you'll end up having to do is go to each room with the switches and make sure they are lit up. You'll know when you've completed them all when you hear a dinging/chime sound. After that, head back to the room with the large map on the wall, and check the statue in the room for the key you'll need to continue.

Hope this helps a little bit, and good luck!
