How to set up a network connenction between 2 computers without cable/wire?

Just to verify, you can do this by setting up a wireless adapter in each machine. Set the wireless adapters to adhoc mode, manualy assign each an IP address and subnet mask that puts them in the same subnet. (192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 with 255.255.255.0 would work), set both to use the same ssid and wpa encrytion codes. Now just setup the network with microsoft networking using the same workgroup name, enabling file and print sharing.

Setting up a small wireless network will solve your problem. I recently set one up for myself and now have two desktops I can use and a laptop I can carry onto by deck and work outdoors. Check products from Linksys. You'll need a wireless router and one wireless adapter for each additional PC.

You can buy 2 802.11x wireless cards and setup an Ad Hoc network.

my dear if u are in india then wireless will cost u much more higher but i m showing u a way 1st of all u need 2 wireless network card and one wireless routor but both network card in your both pc and now start your wireless router give them ip address and then u can connect both pc without any wire.

Avail wireless internet connection (siffy, in India) and create network sharing connection

if you dont want use wired then use wireless connection. simple get two bluetooh adapters (work only distance b/w 2 comps is less else need to use wireless modem and router)

If you need a network but haven't any LAN or web for communication you can use hyper terminal(if you have windows it's in your:programs\Accessories\communications\Hyper Terminal).And if you need a no wire network you must have wireless network equipment.
