What is the name of?

Enough already with Jackie Robinson!! My God, give me a break. Isn't it enough that the number 42 is retired in every ball park? So he was the first black to play in the major leagues. Get over it!! What about the first Japanese or Canadian or Italian or Irish?? Hell let's name all the ball parks Jackie Robinson Stadium. I'm sick of all the politically correct crap. Jackie Robinson was a very courageous person to do what he did but it's baseball..........baseball..........a freakin' game!! That's it!!

They need to embrace their own team's history instead of trying to steal the Dodger's history. The Dodgers still exist, they're doing just fine in Los Angeles. They don't need the Mets pirating their history.

The Mets should name the new park "Amazin' Stadium" or something... as stupid as that sounds, at least it embraces the TEAM'S history and legacy rather than stealing from another organization and it's players.

I agee with moving forward. Anyway what does Jackie Robinson have to do with the Mets? He was a Brooklyn Dodger. Why not name the country the United States of Jackie Robinson. Give me a break!!

I think, "New York Mets Ballpark" is the name it will wear if the rights to the stadium's name aren't sold. I really hope those is charge of that decision don't succomb to letting some corporation stamp their name on it.

We'll see, the plans for the stadium look great though!
