Probably Gallileo. He basically invented the scientific method of inquiry, giving mankind the tools we use to explore the world around us. Had no one done what Gallileo did, there would have been no industrial revolution, no modern medicine, no modern social reforms, basically none of the things that we identify as the benefits of modern life.

Dr. Martin Luther King JR. Because he showed us the very good and Very Bad in man. One one side there was the passionate civil rights leader, that opposed injustice everyive, ont he other end was a adulturer, and heretic. A duality of mankind

People of all faiths should agree that Bill Gates has had the most impact on all our lives of anyone in recent history. He gave the abilty to use computers to everyone regardless of education level, income, or social staus. Or maybe Al Gore since he claims to have invented the world wide web.
