The company NAME.NET registered my domainname and now is asking me the sum of u$s 875 for the name.
I would like to know if there's a way or maybe an international organization I could contact or ask, just to try to recover this domain without paying such qtty of money ?
Please, honest and justified answers. Thanks
Note: the domainname wasn't registered before. It was taken last Aug. 20th. I was going to register it today, but I got this little surprise...

Report the company to the
ICANN (Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers)

First did the domain belong to you orginally and expired? If so you have a domain squatter on your hands and yes you can sue to get the name back but only if it was your previously and registered.

If you had it and it expired , then I think first come first served comes in order. Alot of places will hold the name for you for a certain time after it expires, so this doesn't happen. I know godaddy.com does.
