All web browsers allow you to clear your personal data collected through web browsing. For example, IE allows you do delete the history / cookies or files from Tools -> Internet Options.
If you are a Firefox user, you can do it from Tools - > Options or "Delete Private Data"
Note that if you want to clear the URL only, you don't have to delete cookies and offline files.

you can go into tools, internet options and delete your browsing history or change the number of days you want to save the history (mine is set to 0 days) or you could also maximize the list where you type in the URL and click on them individually and hit delete on your keyboard
