    It’s a psych test. Be brutally honest. These tests are designed to pick up inconsistencies and guarded answers. Test prep and targeted answers are not the way to go here. Just answer as honestly as possible. If your answers get you dropped, then you need be dropped. It is impossible for a sane person answering honestly to come up as a non-hire. It is easy, however for a sane person to curve his answers and come up as dishonest or even unstable. So, be honest and don’t sweat it.

    Just don't sweat it. Don't try to analyze the questions, and don't put a lot of thought into your answers - just go off the cuff. Be honest and straightforward. Don't BS yourself, or them. Relax.

    The purpose of the psychological evaluation is to determine whether or not a candidate is mentally suitable to be a police officer. Psychological evaluations can consist of multiple types of tests. Categories of psychological tests are achievement and aptitude tests, intelligence tests, neuropsychological tests, occupational tests, personality tests, and specific clinical tests. How much of an assessment a police department requires varies. Most law enforcement agencies seem to be primarily concerned with achievement and aptitude, intelligence, and personality tests. Many agencies use the MMPI-2 test. You could be asked all different types of questions.
