Has anyone had/have ocular melanoma?

My G.P. suggested I regularly visit a GI doc to watch for liver mets in addition to my ocular oncologist. Curious if anyone else does this? It seems a little overboard to me...

I work with these type conditions everyday. Do not underestimate this. There is no overboard!!!

Ocular melanoma represents 10% of all melanoma cases. U should have a PET/CT scan to detect mets. This is the only test for cancer. Do not let them only due CT and MRI. PET/CT are 25% more accurate.

Yes it is a good ideal to do as your doctor asked. I lost my mother 13 years ago because of this disease. Don't take it lightly.
