When using an anti-spy program what does Quarantined mean?

Quanantined means to confine, restrict to one area. Like when something is contagious and bad (like chicken pox), whoever has it gets separated from the rest so it doesn't spread. A computer anti-spy program that finds/detects spyware or viruses in your system quarantines them in one spot so they can't infect your computer.

"Quarantined" means the program or data has been disabled and moved somewhere were it's code is harmless and cannot be run. Later, if you find out you actually needed that program, reg entry, etc., it can be restored.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
