Worker's Comp SLU (Scheduled Loss of Use) Payment in New York State?

My husband will be one year from his surgery in October. Does anyone know how much time the insurance co. has to pay an SLU payment from when the judgement is made? Or what your personal experience was? Thanks.

It sounds like a limb was lost as a result of a work place injury. If this is the case, payment should have been fairly prompt after the accident. If the Workers' Comp carrier, however, is contesting the nature of the accident you may have to get a lawyer involved. Speak to the insurance company and find out what is happening. If they give you the run around, I guess that's why the USA has so many injury and compensation lawyers. Try and find a good one. I don't think the good ones should have to advertise as word of mouth is very effective, but make your own choice. Good luck on this and remember that in law, the lawyers come out the big winners.

of direction you could record, yet will the declare be approved? it is an entire new question, yet one, fortunately for you, that I do have an answer for. you'll want a Workman's comp lawyer, yet not basically any lawyer. of direction you like a stable Workman's comp lawyer. it rather is the place we are available in at Dewey, Cheatem and Howe. terrific Workman Comp legal experts around. in simple terms dial 555-1212
