your dog has worms. there are several types without knowing which one the treaments vary . some can be handle by over the counter meds one in particular has to be handle by a vet and can and will be deadly if left un treated. tape worm looks like rice in their poop that is the one the vet needs to treat. the fact that he is lathargic suggests that tape is your culprit. bring him to the vet he will give a dose at the office and one you will give yourself in three weeks . although after the first dose he will appear to be better its the worms larve that will hatch again thats why the second dose is very needed , this med and the name escapes me at this moment is given according to weight. to prevent reifestation do not allow him to continue to poop where he has been tape worm is the only known worm to live in the ground . you would have to dig 3 feet down and remove that dirt as well as applying bleach to this area. how ever luck would have it winter is not farbehind 3 days of frost will do them in as well. dogs get worms from other dogs . from sniffing their noses and sniffing other dogs poop. so when your dog goes to sniff another snout pull him back. if the worm looks like spagehtti use over the counther stuff follow the weight intructions stay away from products that hartz puts out they have been known to cause death. i am an animal rescue worker and have worked in animal shelters for over 15 years. tape worm needs a vet introvention good luck happy poop hunting

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7Fv

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

get to a emergency vet !

It could be Parvo if it has not had shots it could be poison or oil from changing oil in a car and the dog drank some from some ones garage it could be heart worm ,just so many things and all have a bad ending if not caught early .Sorry to alarm but most peoples pets are like family .

How old is your dog? Could be a million things! Don't take any chances. Take him to a Vet. But off course you know that!

To save some money take it to an low-cost pet clinic. They care just as much as the more costly vets. Don't wait too long. They are mainly first come first serve.

I know that one of the biggest symptoms of heart worms is lethargy. This worries me because this is exactly how my friend's dog was acting before he had to be put down for heart worms. Has he been checked recently?

Age? Could be virus or parasites. I would definitely set him up with the vet. I wouldn't play with this...the vet knows best!

  • could be many things...anemia,parasites....you should probably take it to a vet.any sudden and noticable changes in an animal is not a good sign.Ide call the vet and ask.
